4 screenwriters trying to Charlie Kaufman a Raymond Carver story and desecrating it beyond repair in the process. Pseudoprofundity & hack dialogue creeping into so many scenes; almost to the point of being exhausting. All the technically precise camera setups & long takes in the world couldn't mask all that tacky stuff for me personally. & I low-key loved BIUTIFUL + thought it represented an interesting new career phase for Iñárritu-- so this silly shit was more than a little bit disappointing.
