Another great quiz by Dennis Cozzalio.
1) FAVORITE MOVIE
OR SCOTT BRADY?
Brady, personally.
4) WHAT MOVIE, REAL OR IMAGINED, WOULD YOU STAND IN LINE SIX HOURS TO SEE? OR HAVE YOU EVER DONE SO IN REAL LIFE?
the longest I've ever waited in line was an hour and a half and it was in 1999 for the STAR WARS prequel.. I would definitely wait over six hours to see Malick's IMAX nature thing he's been working on forever.
I think "Q" is what he used to call that project.. Also If someone found and restored the lost 42 -reel version of Stroheim's GREED (1924) I would wait in line days to see that.

Those ear slugs in WRATH OF KHAN (1982)!!
Also; when Judge Doom re-inflates himself in ROGER RABBIT (1988)
9) RICHARD WIDMARK

BIBLICAL SPECTACULAR
The Jesus segments of INTOLERANCE (1916).
& if that doesn't count as a biblical epic, then I pick Demille's '56 version of TEN COMMANDMENTS.

FAVORITE CINEMATIC MOMENT
OF UNINTENTIONAL HUMOR
In THE DARK CRYSTAL (1982) there's a part where "Jen" turns towards the camera frozen and it looks like the puppet is just annoyed with the scene and looking at the camera waiting for cut.
Can't find a screen cap of the moment, but it's like he's shrugging at the audience. The Office-style. lolz

FAITH-AFFIRMING MOVIE
for me personally it's Scorsese's LAST TEMPTATION ('88).
17) MOVIE THAT MAKES THE BEST CASE FOR AGNOSTICISM
Hirokazu Koreeda's NOBODY KNOWS ('04).
Childhood innocence fading away as a result of neglect or abuse is agonizing to watch. Seeing dramatizations like this & countless real documents of man's cruelty like SHOAH (1985) pretty much helped kill my belief in the traditional concept of an interventionist deity.

OR JEAN HARLOW?
Believe it or not, Clara Bow.
21) MOVIE MOST RECENTLY SEEN IN THE THEATER? ON DVD/BLURAY/STREAMING?
at the Theater: THINK LIKE A MAN (2012)
on Bluray: BOOGIE NIGHTS (1997)
Streaming: BIG NIGHT (1996)
22) MOST UNLIKELY GOOD MOVIE ABOUT RELIGION
(Just a heads-up, I consider religion and faith to be 2 separate things)..
To me the 1996 version of Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE is a surprisingly effective depiction of religious hysteria run amok. How charlatans frequently hide behind it or try to justify ritualistic abuses & persecution of "the others" of this world.
23) PHIL SILVERS

HOLLYWOOD SCANDAL
That Garbo and Marlene Dietrich probably had a lesbian affair... Meeeeyow!
25) BEST NON-CHRISTIAN

25) BEST NON-CHRISTIAN
RELIGIOUS MOVIE
I would list a movie based on the Old Testament here as I do not consider those books "Christian", but I will get shit from evangelical friends/family if I do-- so I'll go with Akkad's THE MESSAGE (1976) about the prophet Mohammed (السلام عليكم). Both formally brilliant & moving.

26) THE KING OF CINEMA:
KING VIDOR, KING HU, OR HENRY KING?
All great filmmakers but Vidor towers over all.
27) NAME SOMETHING MODERN MOVIES NEED TO RELEARN HOW TO DO THAT AMERICAN & FOREIGN CLASSICS HAD DOWN PAT
This is just a blanket generality-- but I think most modern mainstream films would be better off if they had more (or any kind) of a visual stamp. Some subtle or not so subtle uses of color + a concept of space the events are taking place in. Even small character dramas back in the day had class & pageantry to the presentation. Every action movie today shouldn't just be shot with the same handheld shaky camera look. And every Romantic comedy conversation doesn't need to be the same old shot / reverse shot throughout the entire movie. It'd also be nice if there were more characters worth caring about nowadays.
28) LEAST FAVORITE FELLINI?
Of what I've seen, VOICE OF THE MOON ('90)

29) THE THREE STOOGES (2012)
-- YES OR NO?
Yes! A flawed but loving tribute to Moe, Larry, & Curly's classic form of comedy. My fear is that mainstream audiences just don't get this type of slapstick anymore.. or the style of joke delivery. Like many classic humor stylings of yesteryear, (Vaudeville, Looney Tunes, Jerry Lewis) people just seem to not appreciate it anymore after enough generations pass by
I'm actually surprised 20th Century Fox didn't declare the Stooges brand to be "too dated" before green-lighting this. Thankfully for we fans Fox supported the Farrelly brothers completely. I guess their folly is our reward.
Chris Diamantopoulos in particular deserves to be nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Moe.. Uncanny.

CONSPIRACY THEORY
My personal favorite is the one about Ferris being Cameron's split-personality in FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF (1986). A Geek Jekyll and Cool Hyde.
32) YOUR CANDIDATE FOR MOST MISUNDERSTOOD OR MISINTERPRETED MOVIE
The latter part of Verhoeven's Hollywood stay was plagued with misunderstood gems. Especially SHOWGIRLS (1995). The fact that it's still widely regarded as one of the "worst films of all time" says a lot about American critics and audiences.
33) MOVIE THAT MADE YOU QUESTION YOUR OWN BELIEF SYSTEM (RELIGIOUS OR OTHERWISE)
In 2007, when I was much younger & more impressionable, I saw Tony Kaye's abortion debate doc called LAKE OF FIRE. It offered up so many smart, calm, & collected arguments from both sides.
FYI, I am still vehemently Pro-choice.
