I really don't understand why IFC screwed over Abel Ferrara on not releasing this version of the film to theatres. Which, for my money, is his best film in at least 14 years.

this is one of the most golden & courageous documentaries ever made. Deeply upsetting too -- well obviously, considering the subject. But go in only if you have a strong heart.. The film goes far FAR beyond a mere true crime story to reveal a lurking systemic racism that needs to be combatted at all costs. How appallingly neglected black communities can be; more specifically, the women within those communities. 💔
