The two actresses in this are obviously golden but I thought the overall thrown-together filmmaking style made everything within feel like an only slightly better than average episode of Goosebumps (1995-1998). You can tell the creatures were based on cool designs & meant to carry strong social symbolism, but the cheap & barely expressive way they're executed just made them look like old Boglins puppet toys.. Or Street Sharks.
