Equally as brilliant as SUMMER OF SOUL in every way. This one just became such a downer on the emotional front.. But I think that's kind of the point.

Of the ten animated Asterix movies this one had my personal favorite animation style. Looking sort of like 90s "Waking Sleeping Beauty"-era Disney traditional cel 2D.. wish some of the humor landed better though.

Of the six Asterix/Obelix films I saw recently, this one was the best approximation of the source material. + it's a hoot! Make the kiddos watch it.
