333) I'M NOT THERE
(2007 dir. Todd Haynes) 2nd Viewing: September 23 2010

Haynes applying the episodic arthouse structure of his debut feature POISON to the myth of Dylan, though to varying degrees of quality this time.. I do feel like I enjoyed most of this movie a lot more now, since some time has passed since its original release. Though part of me does wish the entire movie was just the little train-hopping boy segment titled "Woody". I guess i'm kind of a basic bitch thataway.

When you make a film as immaculate as NO COUNTRY, maybe anything you follow it up with is doomed to feel like a minor work to your fans. Too bad, too -- cause I feel like this is one of the funnier & more brisk films the Coens have done.. Very underrated & very dark.
