I'm not familiar with the Rwby characters that make up half of this movie, but even if I was it wouldn't help me get passed the appallingly ugly animation style it's done in. The 3D character models all look like they're from Budokai 2 , and it's 2023! That game's look only got a pass in 2003 because of Toriyama's aesthetically pleasing bedrock designs..

I'm not saying there isn't an audience out there for content that looks this way, I'm just sayin' that I ain't it.. What's crazy is, with a lot more shading, surface detail, & a lower frame rate; you get the far less ugly look of a BATMAN NINJA -- and if you go in the opposite direction via completely stripping characters of shading, edges, angles, etc; You get the dreamy paint blob realm of things like AWAY (2019), FEAST (2014), or even Wind Waker.
Cyborg's re-imagined design was admittedly pure fire.
