Although its structure is ripped straight outta Pasolini's TEOREMA, the real vibe I got from this thing was Patricia Highsmith's Tom Ripley thrillers; If they'd been tailored to people that think Dexter (2006-2013) is brilliant writing. Not to mention all the tackiest directorial choices in all indiedom for '23! Between you & me, my eyes may have rolled 360° a few times. (scoffs) Plus I farted.
This is all just so stupid as socio-economic commentary. More than a little disappointing sophomoric slump from Ms. Fennell. At least the cast is there to do most of the heavy lifting.
