the gory parts were a pure sugar rush for my inner blood spatter junkie. I'd say it probably held the title for Best Vampire Anime of the 2000s until VAMPIRE HUNTER D: BLOODLUST came along and knocked it off its perch.. I didn't love the washed out color palette but at least it wasn't nauseating like the piss-soaked sepia of the 2008 revamp of GHOST IN THE SHELL.

I loved the initial setup/concept of this movie. & I didn't even mind the hilarious furball creature design (cat toy versions of the parasites from Heinlein's The Puppet Masters), I just wished it didn't have such shoddy editing & uneven cinematography.

Better than the first MINIONS spinoff thanks mostly in part to the inclusion of kid Gru. The energy & scope of the slapstick this time around being so much larger; having his character there helps balance out all the minion mayhem.. Honestly this all could've just been a short film.
