59) A TOUCH OF ZEN
(1969 dir. King Hu) Date Seen: February 1 2011

Finally got around to seeing King Hu's 1969 Wuxia classic. Let's just say I found it more than amazing. I do wish this American region dvd I got my hands on complimented the visuals better. You can tell the original print was visually gorgeous and this washed-out pixellated transfer doesn't do it justice. 

To say the film is influential is a massive understatement.
