a wicked violent onslaught of beautiful kung fu action, with gallons of that bright candy apple red 3M movie blood spilling every which way but loose ("Argento Blood" or "Spezial Filmblut" as we used to call it in middle school).. Coming only a few years after THE WILD BUNCH, I have to imagine this was still shocking back then & had audiences wincing away from the on-screen violence.
