A handsome movie to look at for sure (d.p. David Gallego!) - but Lordy, I felt like this was plagued with pacing issues.. Pretty great ensemble all-around though. I preferred the smaller more Tim Suttony film that Tim Sutton released this year, titled FUNNY FACE.

If we were ranking the whole of Film Noir purely in terms of thematic bleakness; Blimey! this one would be damn near the top of the whole heap.. just a pure abyss of the soul.
