A pretty good rebound/comeback for Gil Kenan after the misguided 2015 POLTERGEIST remake. As far as Hollywood money goes, people have been put in director jail for far less (John Woo).. btw KLAUS still holds the title for best Netflix Chrimbus movie ❄️

Material so upsetting & disturbing I was genuinely impressed Delpy was able to bring it to screen without leaning heavily into melodramatics.. It's all told so soberly and matter of fact & all the more gut-wrenching for those reasons. (P.S. 2 DAYS IN PARIS remains my favorite Julie Delpy directed pic)
