[re-upload from the now defunct wanderingimage tumblr January 2020]
my personal favorite moments from films to receive a 2019 U.S. release. Not all of which made my actual “Best Films of 2019” list, but at least had incredible segments that stayed with me since first viewing. Scenes that I’m sure I’ll want to re-visit again and again.

The Cartagena Colombia shoot-out and chase. Particularly impressive in 3D at 120fps projection. I know Ang Lee is known more for his dramatic work but he's clearly also one of the greatest action directors

The final 40min stretch of the film. **the flood, birthday party, etc.** Absolutely transcendent pure movie magic -- like most of joon-ho’s work
