If the goal was to one-up LETHAL WEAPON's over-the-topness with cartoonish excess, mission accomplished.. this one's high-camp energy is very proto-BAD BOYS II, except being tongue-in-cheek makes absurdity go down so much smoother. (obviously tighter editing & directing too)
