this is the first Adam MacDonald film I’ve been majority positive on. & it's a decent reconfiguration of the YA novel, which is thematically sorta like a micro version of The Drifting Classroom with canuck teens.. It only feels like small potatoes in the shadow of 2026’s far stronger "zed word" offerings: 28 YEARS LATER: BLOOD TEMPLE and WE BURY THE DEAD.
